Very interesting podcast. I can see how transexamic acid can be helpful in pts who are exsanguinating. This podcasts also discusses how liver patients are hyper coagulable and last month when we discussed transexamic acid for nosebleeds, caution was given for using TXA for pts at risk for thrombosis. In end stage liver disease, these patient are hyper coagulable, so how is it safe to use TXA in these pts at risk for clots? Thank you!

Just a comment on show notes. All coagulation factors sans von Willebrand Factor are made by liver. vWF is made by endothelial cells and platelets.
