"diarrhea for one day longer may actually encourage them to wash their hands in the future" : love it. Thanks Chris in Wanganui!

Norovirus outbreak on a cruise ship to Antarctica, rough seas, some heads (toilets to landlubbers) on the bottom deck stopped working. This is bad. Some required IV NS, confined to cabin. Some asked me, 'why didn't you get it? What secret medicine do you have?' (despite being in and out of pretty dire cabins looking after the sick) The secret medicine was hand washing. Didn't say 'I told you so', although I had.

Chris, we would be better teachers of this, with lots of encouragement, if we shared the same dining room as on ship. Even so, there are some who just won't play the game.

Whats all this common sense?????Those Australians are being decidedly difficult....how is the pharmaceutical industry supposed to make billions of dollars with doctors using such an approach???? C'mon guys, there is a brand name expensive drug for every condition, no matter how insignificant, and a cure for none. Its America at its finest. Where else can you find expensive drugs to make your lashes longer and your pecker harder, as well as your eyes moister? Sure your cancer and blindness risk increases, but that's the prescribing doctor's fault not the pharm industries!
