Hi! I was really excited to listen to this C3. I am a 3rd year resident and still find psychiatric emergencies very challenging. I appreciate the realistic approach you took to address the critical issues. Since medical school I have dedicated my time to research regarding psychiatric patient length of stay in the emergency department and I love that this was brought up in the episode. I really hope we can draw more attending to this issue and eventually find a solution favorable for both our patients and us.
As a PA, I received little to none of this information. This is a great topic that has been helpful to provide me with a framework on how to approach these patients. Thanks EMRAP!
