The most damning indictment of the Vitamin C study comes from Marik himself:
In a response letter to Chest, Dr. Marik wrote, "Our decision to describe and publish our experience occurred afterward."
If they already knew the results when they decided to write up their experience, it is misleading for them to call this a "Retrospective Before-After Study." It is actually an anecdotal report, essentially a case series.
