Aren't you touching the ulnar side of thumb while calling it the radial aspect. I'm confused. This is my first time back at EM rap and I hope I got this wrong but this is confusing.

Thanks for your comment, Tiffany! It can be a little confusing. Here's another way to think about it:
- you want to make the incision on the ulnar side for digits 2-4 (the non-oppositional side of the affected digit) and radial side for thumb and digit 5.
- the big reason we recommend making the incision on that side if just to reduce pain on the side of the digit we use the most (the oppositional side)
