Aren't you touching the ulnar side of thumb while calling it the radial aspect. I'm confused. This is my first time back at EM rap and I hope I got this wrong but this is confusing.
Thanks for your comment, Tiffany! It can be a little confusing. Here's another way to think about it: - you want to make the incision on the ulnar side for digits 2-4 (the non-oppositional side of the affected digit) and radial side for thumb and digit 5. - the big reason we recommend making the incision on that side if just to reduce pain on the side of the digit we use the most (the oppositional side) Hope that helps!
