We had a 15 yo twin tip skier who lost a tooth in the Terrain Park at Taos Ski Valley, NM about twelve years ago. When this was discovered at the clinic (lots of blood), a ski patroller went beck out to the scene, saw blood in the snow, got on his hands and knees and found the tooth. He wrapped it in gauze (all he had) and brought it back. We inserted it and it's still intact! Time fram from injury was 60-70 minutes. I guess the cold preserved the periodontal ligament.

How does anyone get the derma bonded splint off the tooth....

It will come off with application of isopyopyl alcohol or the dentist may just drill it off.
