Speaking to perpetuating myths ... Why must you keep passing along the myth that no one has studied airborne ops without parachutes? This was studied by the Russians in WWII
Zaloga, Steven J. and James Loop, Soviet Bloc Elite Forces Oxford: Osprey Publishing, 1985
Determining what does and does not work in cardiac arrest is a difficult challenge due to confounding variables. The real question that we should be asking ourselves, is what's the survival rate from OHCA in my community. The standard should be based on Utstein criteria. If you don't know what survival is in your community, then you've found the first problem to be solved. If you're survival is < 50% then you're behind the leading communities in the country, and what drugs you're using is probably not the main issue. (Side note: if you decide not to do compressions that will have a very large negative impact on survival).
