Scott, You talk about using pressors peripherally and then converting to a midline. I assume you mean converting the peripheral IV to a midline with seldinger technique and then running the pressors through the midline...thus eliminating the need for a central line for the sole purpose of using pressors? Is there some evidence to support use of pressors through a midline? The little bit I can find seems to say that this is not safe because you may not notice extravasation as quickly in a midline.
