What antibiotic is recommended for this? I tried to find papers, but none of them were specific.

Lance - I assume that you are talking about for prophylaxis in chest tube insertion? The majority of studies have used cefazolin (Ancef®) although other agents that also cover common skin flora, such as doxycycline and clindamycin, have also been used.
