Dr. Strayer, Thank you for discussing this very important topic. I am very passionate about bup induction in the ED and I very much enjoyed your piece. I was wondering if you could further elaborate on your statement regarding the increased euphoric effects associated with hydrocodone/oxycodone containing analgesics versus morphine. Although I understand these medications tend to me more commonly abused, due to fact that there is much greater availability, I have not previously read/heard of increased euphoria. Can you please point me to some resources so I can further read about this? Thank you and keep up the great work!

thanks for your comments crystal. the abuse potential/euphoria literature is weak, but it does, as best as I can tell, point in the same direction. There are a variety of studies in this folder.
