  • “A radiology app for the rest of us” – helps you read plain films.
  • It uses anatomy overlays on the X-rays to make things more identifiable.
  • You can toggle between normal and abnormal.

• VisualDX ($399-$499/yr)
  • This is a customizable differential diagnosis builder.
  • You select the body system or symptoms, patient demographics, and timeline, and the app creates a differential diagnosis list in order of what is most likely.
  • It is expensive but you do earn CMEs everytime you search.

  • Communicates medical situations to children through use of pictures and sounds.

  • Includes small video games as well as puzzles and books.
  • It is useful to distract kids during procedures.

  • “Blows up” a virtual inflatable balloon.

• Tizi hospital
  • Virtual hospital. The child can select characters and move things around.
  • This app is best for ages 4 and up.

• Doximity dialer
  • This app can disguise your phone number if you are calling patients and don’t want them to have your cell number.
  • You can input the phone number you want to display to the patient (like the hospital number) through the app.
  • It has features that let you jump straight to voicemail or you can leave a no-reply text.
