- This app focuses on calculating the total body surface area burned.
- You input the age and weight and use your finger to shade where the partial/full thickness burns are and it tells you what the % is.
- Sublux (free)
- “A radiology app for the rest of us” – helps you read plain films.
- It uses anatomy overlays on the X-rays to make things more identifiable.
- You can toggle between normal and abnormal.
- VisualDX ($399-$499/yr)
- This is a customizable differential diagnosis builder.
- You select the body system or symptoms, patient demographics, and timeline, and the app creates a differential diagnosis list in order of what is most likely.
- It is expensive but you do earn CMEs everytime you search.
- Simply Say’n (free)
- Communicates medical situations to children through use of pictures and sounds.
- DisneyStoryRealms (free)
- Includes small video games as well as puzzles and books.
- It is useful to distract kids during procedures.
- Balloon-imals (low cost)
- “Blows up” a virtual inflatable balloon.
- You can pick a color and it will make it into a selected animal.
- This is useful to distract kids during procedures.
- Tizi hospital
- Virtual hospital. The child can select characters and move things around.
- This app is best for ages 4 and up.
- Doximity dialer
- This app can disguise your phone number if you are calling patients and don’t want them to have your cell number.
- You can input the phone number you want to display to the patient (like the hospital number) through the app.
- It has features that let you jump straight to voicemail or you can leave a no-reply text.

Found the app "Simply Sayin' " rather than "Simply Say'n" in the Apple app store. :)
