A key point in suturing defects in AV fistulas is to be sure to use a non-cutting needle, such as a taper point. I will soon be releasing a video on this and Al Sacchetti has a great one as well. Do not use a cutting needle as it can cause more damage to the fistula. Great topic and thanks for covering it!

Useful tip to consider for bleeding AV fistula is bottle cap to tamponade bleeding, which is used in UK.
