Higher dose steroids 40mg plus are more likely to cause psychosis according to some sources so in the future a considerably lower dose of corticosteriod could be attempted . Certainly in severe asthma or COPD giant cell arteritis and other conditions you would adjust steroid dose or co-administer an antipsychotic many believe .
