What are your thoughts on FFP for ACE inhibitor angioedema? I have heard it works very well, when used early on in management to prevent the need for intubation.

John-Adam B. -

I've used it to temporize the airway while prepping for the awake nasal airway. I have also seen angioedema progress after 2 units of FFP. So anecdotally, it works and I like to use it (esp when working critical access) but I usually end up taking the airway.

Peter P. -

I have used FFP once and the patient was better within the hour.

How can ACE be the first option in peoples at great risk of Angioedema.?
