Ok guys,

One of us misunderstands modern BiPAP. My understanding is that all modern BiPAP machines have flow sensing capability, that is, they sense inspiration and administer positive inspiratory pressure only upon activation by the pt. I don't think there is any "timing" issue. While it may be that some tolerate BiPAP better than CPAP, as you state, IT DOESN'T MATTER:)
