I ran into this issue recently where the hospital I was at did not have an atomizer. What do you think about grabbing something like flonase that already comes in a container that will atomize the medication, dumping it out, and then putting in your desired med?
I think that's an awesome idea. Of course washing out that bottle very well first would be important. If you try it please let me know how it works for you.
I have had good success using Afrin Nasal Spray bottle for nasal vasoconstriction & topical anesthesia when treating epistaxis. I use the Afrin spray bottle to mix Afrin & Topical 4%Lidocaine 1:1 and spray 2-3 times into each nostril. Seems to work well.

This was in an improvised medicine book I just happened to come across. It might be helpful.

I've heard this from one other person too. Would just recommend checking with pharmacy that it is safe to mix those meds.

At my hospital for bad epistaxis we will mix 1:1 of Afrin and TXA in soaked pledgetts for nares. Works great.
