Kevin M., MD -

A few months ago I had a woman who was 7 days post partum and bleeding like stink. She was going to die unless I stopped the bleeding. I was working in a rural hospital and there was no OB doctor who could take care of her and she was 20 minutes by flight to the nearest center.

I placed a Bakkri Balloon and it worked like a charm. She made it to the OR and lived. Her HgB had dropped from 12-7 by the time she had a second blood draw. The tube saved her life.
