Okay just for the record here Rob... I am with Mel on this one... This would make me super nervous too. If I was stuck and there was nothing else to do and the weather was dreadful and we were stuck and the kids' condition was deteriorating I might give it a shot but otherwise I would probably want someone else to get this out. I wish I was more hard-core but it is the airway that is scaring me! Its all very well to stick a Foley down there and then pull back on it and rotate the kid and put them in Trendelenburg all at the same time but the airway is just lying there, waiting to screw with you. Whatever I do I try not to make a kid from being a stable airplane transfer to being an unstable one! But I do like the idea of playing with the security guard's metal detector. If only we had a security guard :)
