Awesome talk by Rich Cantor! Thanks. One brief historical comment... you apologized for stating that the syndrome suffered by congenitally hypothyroid kids used to be called "cretinism." In fact, that was a compliment. In pre-20th century Europe, because of their mental retardation, these kids were seen as "simple" and "pure of heart" in the best sense of both words, and were therefore considered to be the only true "Christians" ("cretiens," in French). By definition, I guess, everyone else was a foul-mouthed scoundrel ;)
