Patients can reduce their own shoulder reductions using the Davos (Boss-Holzach-Matter) technique. The patient lies down, extends one leg, and wraps his interlaced fingers around one of his knees. He tries to straighten his arms while extending his neck and imagining his shoulder shrugging forward. The muscles relax and the shoulder spontaneously reduces.
