Shoulder Reduction by External Rotation

The external rotation maneuver is a good option for patients with an anterior shoulder dislocation holding their arm in adduction. With the patient either sitting or supine, flex the elbow to 90°, with the elbow tucked in near the torso. Holding the patient's hand, slowly externally rotate the arm, pausing if it becomes painful, and gradually rotate to 90° of external rotation. Hold the arm in this position. We have added massage as well in this video and after about one minute, the shoulder reduced.
