A supraperiosteal nerve block (aka periapical nerve block) is a quick and easy way to anesthetize one or two teeth. Using a local anesthetic, inject 1-2 ml in the mucobuccal fold where the gingiva meets the buccal mucosa, aiming your needle towards the root of the tooth.
