Is not a throat swab rapid antigen test or pcr for strep pyogenes necessary especially if exudate cervical lymph nodes fever above 38.5 C . If you do use Steroids adding antibiotics seems intuitive . Ought to treat First Nations People and Immunocompromised .

I say no - that is high enough probability for me to just treat but some guidelines still say test. A Cochrane review suggests if you are giving Abx a one time dose of 10 mg of Dexamethasone makes them feel better faster.
