Ultrasound of Hydronephrosis
Dr. Jacob Avila reviews how to do an ultraound looking for hydronephrosis, a sign of an obstructing kidney stone. With mild hydronephrosis you see dilation of the renal pelvis and calyces. With moderate to severe hydronephrosis the renal parenchyma becomes compressed and disorted.
